Exercise 6: Practicing Self-Love

Below are the key points to incorporate into your self-love routine:

  1. Take Time for Yourself. As we’ve established, taking time for yourself is one of the most important things you can do. Your life is limited – time is your most important currency – and the more you show yourself that you value your time, the more you prove to yourself that you love your life.
  2. Treat Yourself with Care. Your body really is your temple. And you don’t have to love all of it. But you do need to treat it right. Take time every day, no matter how short it is, to exercise. Yoga, Pilates, martial arts and other focus-based exercises are not only good for your body, but are helpful in learning self-awareness and focusing attention.
  3. Prioritize Me Time. Whether it’s once a day, once a week or twice month – allocate a chunk of me time. Whatever that looks like to you – reading a book, having a coffee with friends, some retail therapy, binge watching your favourite series or movies … make sure you take time for yourself and that you acknowledge that you deserve it.
